My Grandfather

My grandfather is a retired military officer. He is about sixty-five. He is strong and healthy. He is energetic and alert. He goes for a morning walk regularly. He gets up at 5 a.m. and goes for a walk for an hour. This is the secret of his good health. He likes cleanliness.

He is always neat and clean. He does puja for half an hour after taking bath. He is in the habit of reading a newspaper. He is a postgraduate. He helps me in my studies. I like his good qualities. He narrates tales of his military life. I love to hear them.

He is kind and sympathetic too. He helps the poor and the needy. He is loved and respected by our neighbours. They come to him to seek his advice on vital matters. He visits his neighbours whenever anyone falls ill.

He believes in simple living and high thinking. He is a true patriot. For him country is first and then family and self. He is fond of reading books. He visits the Delhi Public Library. He is also a religious man. He never troubles anyone at home. He does most of his work himself. He never loses his temper. I have not seen him using bad language. He is the person I love and respect the most. He is humorous too. Sometimes he cuts humorous jokes which all of us enjoy very much. Everyone likes his company. May he live long.
