Example Letter regarding the birth of a child

April 10, 2001

Dear Brijesh,

The news of the birth of a male child was really heartening. After the previous miscarriage, all of us were quite apprehensive and kept our fingers crossed, least any further mishap deprives you of this proud moment. So I take this opportunity to extend my congratulations to you for becoming a proud father. Yes, this fatherhood is really going to change you a lot. How is your wife? Convey her my congratulations, rather she deserves more than you for undergoing the birth pangs. Take care of her and I’m reaching there on April 22, 2003 in the “Naming ceremony” of the young one, more out of the curiosity to find out the baby has been taken to you or to his mother. In the meanwhile, all of us pray for the well-being of your son. Till then

Your Friend,

Raman
