Importance of Trees

1. Without trees life is no possible on this mother earth. So, trees are vital for our survival as well as all the other living beings.
2. They take in carbon dioxide and throw out oxygen- which is vital for us.
3. They also provide us shelter, wood for fire, furniture, building purposes, doors and windows.
4. They give us fruit. Roots and leaves of some trees are of great medicinal value.
5. We should stop cutting of trees recklessly. Trees bring rains, protect soil erosion and keep underground water reserves full.
6. They also protect us from floods and drought. They provide natural beauty.
7. They provide homes to birds and animals. Many people cut down trees for profit without thinking of the harms they are doing to mankind.
8. On the other hand, we should grow more trees to maintain the balance of nature.
9. Directly and indirectly, they provide food to us. Many movements are going on to protect trees.
10. Only dry useless trees should be cut. Love of trees is love of mankind. They are the very life and breath of mankind.
