Mobile Phones – Public Nuisance and Things of Display

With the revolution in mass communication, mobile phones have become handy and within reach of the common man. But we find blatant misuse of it also. Even in sacred places of worship, we are not free from its ‘tring tring’. They keep on buzzing even in the classroom when the lecture is on. It seems that they are mere toys in the hands of generation X and the old alike. The school students open flaunt them as if they are a thing of the display. The world is at the command of our thumb now with the advancement in technology. But there is a great need to use our discretion while using a phone. Precious hours and money is lost in useless gossiping on the phone. Rational use of these phones is required. In the school and at home, teachers and parents should ensure judicious use of them. Hard-earned income of parents is lost in paying hefty phone bills. The young must be made aware of their sparing use. The sanctification of classrooms and places of worship should be maintained by keeping off the mobiles at such places.
