Subject: Regarding the indifferent attitude of hospital staff.

Sir,
I wish to highlight the indifferent attitude of the hospital staff at the M. C. D. dispensary of Ambedkar Nagar here.
The sheer callousness of the staff towards the suffering people is highly deplorable. The Resident Medical Officer is rarely found on duty. As regards the nurses, the less said is better. While the RMO is away, they also make merry.

The pharmacists are very rude in their behaviour and are never found at their seats. Negligence and delay in admitting serious patients have already claimed several lives. An expectant mother, who was having labour pains, was not admitted by them the other day. She gave birth in the corridors of the hospital. I was a witness to all this and it prompted me to highlight the indifferent attitude of the hospital staff.

It is hoped that the authorities concerned wake up to it and take strict action against the erring staff.
