Natural Springs of Water

Volcanic activity below the Earth’s surface doesn’t only result in eruption of molten lava, it also results in eruptions of hot water springs. In areas where volcanic activity is common, water often seeps into the ground through the rocks and collects underground. Once this happens the underground water gets heated by ground heat and begins to boil. Once the pressure is high enough and steam is built up, tin hot water gushes out with the steam. The principle behind the water’s gushing out is simple. Once the water is hot enough, some of it is pushed out with the escaping steam. Escaping of some water lowers the pressure and boiling point in the remaining water, thus pushing it out as a powerful jet. The roost famous natural geyser is the Old Faithful at the Yellow Stone National park in America. Natural hot water springs are considered good for health because of the mineral rich water.
