Still waters run deep
Appearances may not always reflect true characteristics. What something seems to be may not be what it really is. Learned persons, who are sure of their knowledge and abilities, do not believe in showing them off. Their scholarship and virtuosity stay hidden behind their humility and modesty. Their humble and unassuming behavior is in contrast to the arrogance and pride of those with little knowledge and learning. On the other hand, however, such noble traits in behavior may be manipulated to serve the needs of evil also. What appears to be calm and serene may actually hide behind it, danger and trouble. The show of sincerity in the behavior of most politicians, nowadays, is only meant to fool the people. It serves as a cover for their selfishness and criminality. Thus, in both cases, we see that reality is cleverly and consciously hidden from view. Hence, while judging anything, we should be sufficiently careful in order to avoid being deceived.
