Virtue is its own Reward
Disappointment and frustration are mainly due to our failure to gain benefits from our actions. We should do something for the sake of doing it rather than to gain anything from it. It is unwise to expect all our actions to be successful or to bring in the results we desire. For the sake of our society and fellow human beings, we may have to do many things selflessly. We shall realize that such selfless acts, even though they may not fetch us material benefits, will give us immense satisfaction. Such satisfaction as we get from doing a virtuous task, and the benefits the task will provide others, constitute the real reward for the task.
