From an Uncle to his Nephew

Dear Titu,

We are passing through very critical times and God alone can pull our chestnuts out of the fire.

There is corruption all round and I am not surprised if you are still unemployed, because corruption is responsible for growing unemployment in the country, as the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer.

The corrupt young men are becoming  absolute princes , cold cruel, callous and abandoned to all the evils of the world. Far from being there As Joseph Addison said, “ Give a man power of doing what he pleases with impunity, you extinguish his fear, and consequently overturn in him one of the great pillars of morality.”

Although there is darkness all around you, light of God is still there. If you continue to look for some type of a job, you will find. As the Sikh scripture says.

Sail pather main jant upahioun, take rigak agaykar dhariyuji

(if a worm is born in a black stone, God provides him with his living).

I pray for your employment.

Dear Uncle,

Your prayers have indeed been successful. I have found a job of very artistic qualities because it  necessitates printing flowers and other decorations on saris. The work is interesting and I love it. Income is also good and better than I could earn as a graduate.

Sari – printing is not the kind of work  for which my education qualifies me, because it has nothing to do with my graduation and typing on which I spent more than a dozen years; but the work is quite satisfactory and up to my taste. I must say that my education has been a waste of time so far as my earning capacity is concerned. I have wasted good fourteen years of life in school and college. It has been a waste of time, money and energy.

It is good to get a small technical job in a factory or workshop than hunting for  the post of a clerk from pillar to post.

The main objective of this website is to provide quality study material to all students (from 1st to 12th class of any board) irrespective of their background as our motto is “Education for Everyone”. It is also a very good platform for teachers who want to share their valuable knowledge.
