Soap That Lasts
Materials Required:
- An adult
- Paper and pencil
- Four small chunks of different brands of soap
- Four pieces of paper
- Four glasses of lukewarm water
Soap comes very handy in bathing, washing and cleaning. There are many brands that endorse soap in the market today. Some are good while others are not. Today, we are going to find out which soap lasts the longest with the help of this activity.
We require four soaps of different brands from a shop. Cut a small piece from each bar, the sizes of which should be the same. Now take four pieces of paper and mark them as 1, 2, 3 and 4 along with the brand names. Place a warm water glass on each piece of paper and set the soap of that brand in the glass. Observe carefully and you will notice some pieces dissolving faster than others. Make a note of the time each soap takes to run. After the test is over, put the soapy water into a plastic bottle to use as liquid soap.
Do you think the soap that lasted the longest makes most lather? Which brand will cost the most and how much does the longest lasting soap cost? Which of the soap according to you smells the best? Do any of the soaps float?
