Essay on “Evolution ” Complete Essay for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and other classes.

Essay No. 01

Since many years biologists have been trying to find out “How did life first begin?” To answer that question, they have come up with two contradicting theories — Creation and Evolution. The theory of Creation states that an intelligent being designed each organism. On the other hand, the theory of Evolution states that some form of stimuli sparked one of the earliest forms of life and that every single organism living today evolved from it.

The widely used piece of evidence for supporting Evolution is that apes and humans have the same ancestry; there are evidences that suggest this idea. For example, Thomas Henry,, Huxley, the author of “Evidence as to Man’s Place in Nature, compared the skeletons of apes and humans, and found out that they have similar bone structures. A British paleontologist named Charles Dawson also provided evidence by discovering some pieces of human skull with an ape-like lower jaw With two teeth. The criticism for the statement that apes and human’ have the same ancestry will be discussed. This statement has been proven to be incorrect. After careful inspection, it was discovered that the skull belongs to a present day human all that the jaw has been chemically treated to make it look like fossil and that the teeth had been deliberately filed down make them look human. Thus, the discovery cannot be us, as evidence for the statement, which leaves it without any evidence. Hence, the statement is still invalid and thus cannot be used to support evolution. Similar to the theory of Evolution, the theory of Creation also has both evidence and criticism. One substantial piece of evidence for creation is that there are no intermediate fossils. The absence of intermediate fossils indicates that organisms did not evolve into other organisms. The fossil records also provide people with another piece of evidence for creation. It is an absolute fact that life appears in complex forms and that gaps appear systematically between various living kinds in the fossil. This suggests that life was obviously created, not coming through evolution. Along with evidence, creation faces some criticism. The one criticism that many have about creation is that all people acknowledge that non-living things do not perform any kinds of actions unless an outside force is exerted and that all religions that believe in some type of creator do not state that their creator is a non-living thing. Thus, the intelligent being must have the six characteristics of life because he is also a living thing. Following the theory of creation, there must be another intelligent being above God who created God, oxygen, and the creatures. And there would be another intelligent being that created the latter. Hence, there would be numerous intelligent beings. However, this fact contradicts the biblical belief that there is only one God. Despite its criticism, the theory of Creation seems to be the true explanation for the Origin of organisms. This is because none of the evidence for evolution answers how life first originated. Thus, a majority of People are convinced that there existed some kind of an intelligent being and that he created organisms through a supernatural process.

Evolution of Life

“How did we get here?” and “How did mankind come to exist?” it has always been a mystery. For so long Astronomers, philosophers, and even mathematicians and many others have come up with different explanations. My opinion about the creation and evolution is different. It is estimated that our universe is created 10 billion years ago and the creation of earth took place around 4 billion years ago. The first living organism to appear was the cell. It took over millions of years for the cell to develop into a living creature. In his Origin of Species, published in 1859, Charles Darwin advanced his theory that all species of plants and animals had descended by evolution from one or a few common ancestral cells. But he avoided the issue of human origins, only suggesting that the future would illuminate this question. Some of his knowledgeable  critics  immediately warned of the plain implication of his theory,  that man had an animal ancestry. Only after twelve years, when that reputation was secure, did he publish The Descent of Man in which he made man a product of evolution from ape-like ancestors. This was obviously the ultimate conclusion of his theory. If it is a fact, as virtually all science textbooks teach, it is surely the most significant fact of human history. For if the origin of the race was mere dust, its destiny likewise is nothing but dust. Fossils provide the principal historical evidence offered for human evolution. The Neanderthal people, their fossil remains first found in 1856, are now conceded to have been true human beings. Also they were not hunched over but walked as upright as we do. Furthermore, the Cro-Magnon people, essentially the same as us modern humans, are now known to have lived at the same time as the Neanderthal. Scientists today, however, continue to hold that fossils of this type, now called Homo erectus, were our ancestors. They cannot, however, prove that these fossils have any connection with any cultural artifacts or implements such as tools found in their vicinity. The Piltdown fossil found in England in 1912 was shown in 1953 to be a cleverly contrived hoax. The greater part of the scientific world accepted the fraud for forty years. One of the men implicated in this fraud was Teilhard de Chardin. He later was involved as a fund-raiser for the investigation of the Peking Man or Sinanthropus fossils in China. Only drawings, photographs, and plaster casts were allowed out of China. Just two outside authorities were permitted to examine them, and they both raised very serious questions, doubting the connection of Sinanthropus to man. The recently popular sequence is Australopithecus afarensis to Homo habilis to Homo erectus to Homo sapiens.

Many of the modern-day biological and earth scientists believe that evolution is no longer just a theory. It is now an established fact that the earth’s environment has changed since then and its numerous life forms have evolved from single-celled to complex structures over billions of years. It has been observed that species of animals are continuously evolving, both in the laboratory and in nature. There are many examples of how animals have evolved from with  interaction the interaction of each other. It was also assumed that for sure dinosaurs were the distant relatives of their ancestors the bird More than 99% of geological and biological scientists strop believe that evolution did take place and evolved over millions’ Yi years. With so much yet to be discovered no one can know how mankind came into existence. Most likely as long as we live on this earth, we will never know for certain, at .least probably n; in our lifetime. Although just as our past continues to remain a mystery so does the future, and who knows what is in store for us.
