Celebration of Communal Harmony Week in Govt. Model High School, Sector-36/D, Chandigarh.
Govt. Model High School, Sec-36D, observes Communal Harmony Various competitions were held in the school premises to observe Communal Harmony week and to spread the message of Universal brotherhood. Poster making competitions, Poetry Recitation, Calligraphy Competition, Mehndi Competition were held. Talks were held in the assembly regarding the need of universal bond. Colorful Cultural Bonanza enthralled the audience. Headmaster Mr. Rakesh Sood encouraged the students to work diligently and maintain universal peace. He also urged the students to actively participate in such competitions and be good citizens. Students of VIII-B presented the Dance number Jai Ho and got the First Prize. Second Prize was bagged by students of VIIIA who represented Punjab State and Haryanvi Dance presented by the students of IX-A bagged the Third Prize. Students
participated in various activities like essay writing, slogan writing, poster maki
ng, Paper reading and Quiz related with the communal harmony. Prizes were taken out category wise and today more than 100 students were given away the prizes from the above mentioned competitions. Madam Arvinder Kaur, Sr. lecturer from Dev Samaj College of education along with her trainees worked enthusiastically for the success of today’s function.
