My dear father,
Our school breaks up for the winter holidays on the 24th of December. The youth club of our school has arranged an educational trip during these holidays. The president of the club and some other senior teachers are also accompanying us. So we shall have the best of care.
The party will visit Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore and Kanyakumari. We have been asked to contribute Rs. 1000/- each to meet the expenses. It will include the railway fare, conveyance charges and board and lodging expenses. The school, too, will contribute something towards the expenses.
You know that such trips are of great educative value. They add to our general information and teach us many useful lessons. My friends, Dharmendra, Ganesh, Dinesh, and Rameshwar are also going on this trip. I, therefore, request you to permit me to join this trip and send me Rs. 1000/- to cover the expenses. I assure you I shall give you no cause for complaint.
