Sir,

Television is a source of entertainment. Many programmes telecast on the television entertain us. Some of them are educative, too, but some of the programmes are dull. The programme on ‘Mera Pind Mera Khet’ is very dull. It does not concern all. One of the participants announces rates of various commodities. It is of no use to us. Moreover, the rates of commodities change. The information about the rates of commodities is mostly wrong. It is neither entertaining nor educative.

The programme on ‘Literary’ discussion concerns a few intellectuals. Businessmen and other common men do not understand literary discussions. We get tired after day’s work. We seek entertainment and humour. Discussions on literature cause headache to many. The programme on the biography of an individual is hardly interesting. Those who are interested in someone can read his biography. Programmes which deal with songs, dances and dramas are highly interesting.

I request you to discontinue dull programmes and introduce programmes of entertainment.
