Science Project on “Stronger than Gravity”, Project Experiment Topics on Electricity, Magnetism Gravity for Class 8, 9, 10 and 12 Students.
Stronger than Gravity
Materials Required:
- A shoe box
- Some thread
- A magnet
- Construction paper
- Adhesive tape
- Paper clips
- Some crayons
Gravity keeps us from floating up in the air and gravity exists in all planets and stars which pull things to them.
If you keep something very heavy in your hand, you shall realize the force of gravity, as it will keep pulling your hand down towards the ground.
However, you can show your friends a trick, through which you can make a paper clip, defy the force of gravity. ‘
The secret behind this trick is magnetism, because magnetism can sometimes be stronger than the force of gravity.
To begin, tape a magnet to the inside of a shoe box. You should use construction papers and crayons in order to hide the magnet, so that your friends do not catch the magnet stuck there.
Now take a small paper clip and tie it to a string. Make the box stand vertically and pull the paper clip towards the magnet very slowly.
When the clip stands in the air by itself, tape the string to the bottom end of the box. Now put the clip down.
To show your friends, again raise the paper clip towards the magnet and once it stands by itself, let it go.
Your friends will be impressed!
