MHRD launched The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)

NIRF is an effort to make ranking a transparent process, encourage competition between institutions and verify standards on a yearly basis.
Parameters:
1) Teaching, Learning, Resources-
Organised under: faculty- student ratio, faculty qualifications and experience, library, lab, sports and extra curricular facilities.
2) Research, Professional Practice, Collaborative Performance-
Organised as: peer reviewed publications, citations of research, IPR and patents, collaborative work, research funding and consulting.
3) Graduation Outcomes-
Organised under: public n university examinations, placement, higher studies, entrepreneurship, mean compensation package.
4) Outreach-
Regional diversity, representation of women, socially challenged students, facility for physically challenged students.
5) Perception-
Organised as: perception of peers, general public can give online feedback about various aspects of the institution.
Data uploaded on the portal will be cross checked with reference to data furnished to regulators and the process will be completed by 31st March.
