My dear Mr. Sham Kumar,

You remember that we traveled by the same bus for Jammu. We occupied the front seats. We talked all through the journey. It appeared we became friends at the first meeting.

When you got down from the bus at Pathankot you forgot to take your handbag with you. I found the bag lying under the seat. I at once took it up. I put it in my suitcase. After having reached my destination, I opened your hand-bag. I made a list of articles in the bag and then kept it back in my suitcase.

I did not know your address. There is a notebook in your bag. The idea struck me only today. I opened the bag and took up your notebook. I was overjoyed to see your address in the notebook.

I am sending the handbag intact under registered cover. Kindly acknowledge the receipt. I think one should be rather careful about One’s things while traveling.
