My Family

Essay No. 01

I come of a middle class family. He father is an assistant in the Ministry of Defence. My mother looks after the house. Went are two brothers and one sisters. My elder brother is a graduate, and also working in a firm. All others except me are college students. I am the youngest of them all and the apple of my mother’s eye.

The head of our family is my father. His word is law for all. But he is always reasonable and just. He never imposes anything on any member unless he convinces him. He along with my mother makes all purchases. He gets up early and brings vegetables from the market so that he may get ready for the office in time. He is very particular about punctuality. He expects this form all of use. He is kind and liberal.

My mother has much to do. She does get the cooperation and help of my sisters but she has to do the major part of house hold work. She is a very early riser. After taking bath, she guest to the temple. She starts preparing breakfast at 7 a.m. because I go to school at 7:30 a.m. Up to nine she has to prepare it for papa and brother. Then follow other activities washing clothes, cleaning utensils and the house. She believes in doing every work with her own hands. She does not depend on the cook or the maid.She is a lady of lovable nature. She is somewhat conservative but not narrow minded. She is strong and courageous and commands respect with papa. My father has a great regard for her. He never does anything without consulting her. She is just like a wise counsel for use. He is never peevish and unjust.

No beggar goes unattended from our house. He is given alms in the shape of food or fruit and not money. Everyone of the elders. None of us dares be insolent. Everybody adjusts as he is expected to do.

There is cooperation and unity in our family. I have learnt the lesson of sympathy love and civic sense. In a way my family is the first school of civic sense for my family is the first school of civic sense for my brothers and sisters. Once in a week, all the members sit together and talk about certain things concerning the house and life in general.

Many a problem is solved with mutual help. In this we have the least botheration and inconvenience in life. We lead a very smooth and peaceful life. If never anyone of the members falls ill he is nursed and served so carefully that he recovers soon. It is my great fortune to have been born in such a family. I wish and pray India to love such ideal and true families as may make democracy a real success.

My Family

I come of a noble family. My family is small. My family is well-known in the city. There are five members in my family, my grandmother, my parents, my sister and I.

I am the eldest son of my parents. My sister is younger than me. My sister’s name geeta.Geeta and I go to the same school. She is in the second grade. She love me very much. I also love her.

My father is a teacher. He is a tall man. His age is 42 years. My mother is a housewife. She is 40 years old.

She loves me very much. She looks after my needs well. My parents are loving and kind.

My grandmother is an old lady. She is 75 years old. She tells us tales at night. Ours is a small but happy family.

All our neighbours love us. We are peace-loving people and never fight with the neighbours. My family is a very happy family.

My Family

My family comprises of four members. These members are my mother, my father, my brother, and myself.

My father is .a doctor in the local government hospital. He is an M.D. in medicine. He is a heart specialist. He is very gentle and kind. He is very sympathetic to the patients. He listens to their problems attentively. He tries to prescribe the best medicine for them. He does not accept bribe from anybody.

My mother is a school teacher. She teaches English and Hindi in the local government primary school. She is very sincere in her work. She holds extra classes for weak students. She also teaches the pupils the importance of character, cleanliness and hard work. She also tells them about the importance of discipline and respect to their parents and teachers. My brother’s name is Ashutosh. He is elder to me. He reads in 12th class in the local Sacred Heart Convent School. He is very intelligent and hard working. He always stands first in the class. He also takes part in sports and extra curricular activities.

My name is Alka. I read in 10th class in the local DAV Public School. I am good at studies. I also often stand first in my class. I love painting and music also. I have won a number of prizes, and trophies in competitions.

Ours is a small happy family. I pray to God that all should have such a good family.
