If I were the principal of my school

Essay No. 01

I love my school. During the working hour. I love it for its quietness. In the recess and at the end I love it for its cheerful noisiness. I wish I could pas my whole life here. Now can that be possible? Possible will it be, If I become the principal of my school? Only then I can remain here for a long time. Not only this I can shape it to my heart’s content.

Nothing is perfect in the world. My school is not an ideal one. Certain things need improvement. There is, for example, no proper arrangement for drinking water in my school. There is just one tap. Then, there is the library which is more of a collection of old-fashioned books than a library proper for students. We cannot get the books we desire to read.

If I were the principal of my school, I would enlarge the library according to the needs of students and make it up to date. There should also be a large and quiet reading room for students. A cooler should replace the lonely tap.

I have often noticed with pain the boys do not have opportunities to put the arecas period to full advantage. Some of them run home, while others eat whatever rotten stuff they get from the hawkers. Some simply talk of films. The recess period can be more properly used for recreation and the betterment period can be more properly used for recreation and betterment of the boys. If I were the Principal of my school, the boys would be asked to have club activities during recess. They would be encouraged to pursue their hobbies such as photography, woodwork gardening, and paper cutting.

Another new thing I should like to introduce is a giant wall magazine for the whole school. The students would then gather around it in recess and learn how to read and write for recreation. Around it, I recess and learn how to read and write for recreation. The photo club would put up some really good photographs on the wall magazine.

Lastly, if I were the Principal of my school, I would try to maintain strict discipline. I would also try to show excellent results. Discipline and results go together, but discipline comes from within. So, I would introduce moral education in my school. Only then the boys of my school would be healthy, brilliant, and disciplined.

If I Were the Principal of My School

Essay No. 02

If I were the Principal of my school I would bring about many changes in the system of running our school. At present we have a lot of work in our school and we hardly get any time to play. The school starts in the morning with assembly. If I became the Principal I would stop all those long lectures about discipline and hard work. I would encourage the students to share their thoughts and experiences with their schoolmates and the teachers could guide the students with their comments on what they share with them. As the day’s work begins, I would see to it that all the difficult subjects are not taught one after the other. Science should be followed by English and not by Maths.

Sometimes the principal of schools have very poor knowledge of what students like and they thrust a lot of information down their throats without caring about the fact that they are not always receptive enough to learn all the subjects together. I would encourage a lot of sports and extracurricular activities like drama, music, painting, creative writing, clay modeling, photography, horse riding, swimming, dancing, etc. This would keep the students interested in coming to school and they would enjoy their long hours of stay in school. When there are so many interesting activities for the students, they remain happy and their mind is able to absorb the lessons from the most difficult subjects with a greater case. I would promote a greater degree of personal interaction between the students and teachers thus creating a friendly atmosphere in the classroom. Teachers would be friends with the students and this could help to eradicate any fear that the students may have in their minds with regard to their teacher. This again would improve the working and learning atmosphere in the school.

As a Principal, I would do my best to lead my school towards honours in academics, sports, social and cultural activities.
