Atlantic Ocean

The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest of the world’s five major oceans. Its water is distributed among Africa, Europe, Southern Ocean and Western sphere. With a total area of about 7,67,62,000 square kilometers, it covers approximately 20% of the Earth’s surface and about 26% of its water surface area. As per the tourist point Atlantic Ocean is the busiest ocean of the world. There are constant movements of the ships between the Western and Eastern hemispheres. It has got vast natural reserves of fishes, oil, seal, whale, small millets, mud, diamonds, gem stones and natural gas. Major ports situated on this ocean are Lanchow (U.K.), Ajleechers (Algeria), Alexandria (Egypt), Antwerp (Belgium), Barcelona (Spain), Casablanca (Morocco), Buenos Aries (Argentina), Colon (Panama), Copenhagen (Denmark), Dakar (Senegal), Gadensang (Poland), Hamburg (Germany), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands), Le Howre (France), Lesbian (Portugal), Montevideo (Uruguay), Marcela (France), Naples (Italy), New Orleans (America), New York (America), Oslo (Norway), Peru (Greece), Rio De Genera (Brazil), St. Petersburg (Russia), Gothenburg (Sweden) and Rotterdam (Netherlands). The equator divides the Northern Atlantic Ocean from the Southern Atlantic Ocean. In between the months from May to December in Africa’s coastal area near to the Cape Word, where Hurricane waves occurs that ends up in Caribbean Sea towards western side. From February to August huge icebergs are seen in Davis junction, Denmark water union and in north western Atlantic Ocean.
