The mind is its own place and in itself can make a heaven of hell and a hell of heaven
The nature of our lives is decided by our outlook and attitudes. Though the world is the same for all of us, our individual mentality makes it seem different to each of us. If we believe in ourselves and have a positive attitude towards life, we shall achieve much to feel happy and satisfied. On the other hand, if we are unsure of our abilities, or, are excessively ambitious, we shall never be satisfied in life. Such lack of satisfaction can lead to disappointments and frustrations which will make living a dreadful experience. Differing attitudes can sometimes result in different judgments of the same situation. If a vessel, half-filled with water, is half-full for the optimist, it is half-empty for the pessimist. While the optimist is happy with the available water and is hopeful of adding more, the pessimist complains that the water is insufficient. Thus, it is our attitude that decides our happiness and satisfaction in life and creates the concepts of heaven and hell in our minds.
