Friendship Day is celebrated on the 4th of August every year. It is the day to recognise our friends and their contribution to our life. A friend is the one, who convinces you that there is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. A true friend is the person who comes to your aid in the times of distress. A little support by a friend gives solace and peace. A little recognition and support of a friend at that time is what is called, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” Friendship has become a necessity as a trend of the nuclear family is coming up.

Hence pull out all the stops and make your friends know that you really appreciate and need them. Celebrate Friendship Day by meeting, hosting a friendship dinner party or sending a nice card to a friend telling them how much you appreciate their friendship. A friend should be presented flowers, chocolates, a cake, anything like this for showing your heart and love to a friend. A very small piece of advise, sharing of emotions, meeting on eventful days are some of the tips that a true friend performs even staying thousands of kilometers away from us.
