Peace hath her victories, no less renowned than war
Perhaps owing to their lack of aggressiveness, peaceful pursuits, and their successes are not so well known as those of wars and violence. In contrast to the victories of the war, which are achieved after much loss of resources, both human and others, those of peace are achieved by improving the quality of life of the people. Put differently, whereas the victories of wars are destructive, those of peace are constructive in nature. The spirit of cooperation among the scientists, farmers, and workers that contributed greatly to the success of the “Green Revolution’ is a sterling example of peaceful achievement.
