Meatless Day on 25th Nov. is an awareness campaign to sensitize people against meat-eating. This day is also synonymous with Animal’s Right Day. Animals are also living beings and have the natural God gifted right to live. They should not be killed mercilessly at the hands of humans. Animals are killed not only for meat but also for their skin, horns, tusk, etc. Killing animals is not only taking away their right to live but imbalancing the whole ecosystem. When the ecosystem of a place is disturbed by the senseless killing of animals, the existence of whole living world will be jeopardized including the human species.

By celebrating Meatless Day, we are bound to think over the plight and rights of animals. Meatless Day is observed on 25th November coinciding with Sandhu Vaswani’s Birthday. Vaswani is one of the well-known spiritual thinkers and writers. Meat-eating by human beings is also not good for themselves. Because while being killed, animals secrete a hormone due to the fear of being killed. This hormone pollutes its meat and man eats that polluted meat of bad hormone. It is worthwhile to mention here that sometimes animals’ meat is infected with some harmful micro-organisms. When the infected meat is eaten, there lies a great danger of being infected by micro-organisms producing diseases in human being. Thus observing meatless day is beneficial for humans and significant for the Animal’s rights.
