Sir,

I am writing this letter to draw your kind attention to the poor lighting arrangements on the road near my house.

This road is called the Bye pass Road. It is one of the most frequented roads in the town. The traffic on this road is very heavy. But it is a pity that there are no good lighting arrangements on this road. There are very few street lights and they too are far apart. Some of the electric poles are without bulbs. So the road is very dimly lighted at night.

Naturally, it is dangerous for people to move about on the road after dark. Accidents frequently take place on this road. Only last night a child was run over by a car. Moreover, the absence of good light encourages burglars who can take advantage of darkness.

I shall, therefore, appeal to you to have a few more street lights put up on this site.

The residents of this locality will be thankful to you.
