Sir,

I beg to inform you that I belong to a very poor family and my father is a peon in a private business office in Connaught Place. His monthly income is just Rs 4000 only. He cannot meet all the expenses of the family, as well as for my education.

Sir the books as well as the stationery costs too much these days and my father wants me to stop my studies and add to the family income by doing some job.

Sir I am a brilliant student and my school records bear a testimony to it. I also want to continue my studies.

Therefore, I request that you should kindly class me to buy the set of books and exercise books for the 10th class out of Poor Boy’s Fund.

I assure you that I will work hard to show a still better result.

I shall feel highly obliged to you for this act of kindness.
