10 Lines – A Cricket Match
1. Yesterday our school played a cricket match against the Khalsa School Cricket team.
2. Our school has a good playground. The toss took place. Our team won it and decided to bat first.
3. It was a 40-over match. Our openers went into bat. They scored 20 runs in 7 overs.
4. Both the openers were bowled out at 20 one after the other. The rest of the team played well and our team scored 180 or nine wickets.
5. Robin was the top scorer with 46, followed by wicketkeeper Kamal who scored 39 runs and remained not out.
6. After lunch the Khalsa openers played their innings. They put on 100 runs without loss.
7. Our spinner Jha took the first wicket in his very first over. There were 15 overs yet to be bowled.
8. At 109 another batsman was declared LBW. The third and fourth wickets fell at the score of 140.
9. In ten overs the Khalsa team needed 41 runs to win with ten wickets in hand. Thakur took two wickets in his second over.
10. The score was 168 for 6. Next four wickets fell one after the other. We won by 8 runs and 3 overs to spare. It was a well-deserved victory.
