Rotary Club Commemorates Centenary Year
Chennai, March 02, 2004. The Rotary Club of Chennai commemorated its centenary year with a two-day cultural fiesta, which concluded here today at City School Grounds. Noted TV artists like Devang Patel and Abhijeet Chatterjee entertained the crowd with their golden voices. A host of other co-stars also shared the dais with thein in a variety show. The funds collected from the show will go to charity. Ms. Hema Malini. M.P. and cinestar of the yesteryears were the Chief Guest. She donated an amount of one lac to the Club. She lauded the efforts of the club for the deprived children. Mr. Chidambaram, president of the Club presented the vote of thanks. The people of Chennai got more than what they had expected from a galaxy of stars under one roof. It was really a colorful cultural fiesta for the Chennai people.
