NOG Gives Life to Cancer Institute
Banglore, March 05, 2004. (Biju) –
‘Sahara’ a Non-Govt Organization organized a fundraising show in aid of Upkar Cancer Institute of Banglore here yesterday. A variety show entertained the elite crowd assembled at Ramavtar Auditorium. Noted film actors Raj Babbar, Kader Khan, and Preity Zinta were the star attractions. Asrani and Johny Lever entertained the people with their hilarious jokes.
A sum of nearly two lacs was generated by gate money only. In addition to it, the NGO collected about three lacs by raising funds from private companies for this noble cause. Sh. C. M. Mahendra, President of ‘Sahara’ presented a cheque of five lacs to the cancer Institute. It was a memorable evening for the Bangaloreans to be cherished by them for a long time.
