Essay on – My Daily Routine
The correct use of one’s time is planning the schedule for the day. It is a good habit. This teaches us to make good use of our time. I learned this principle very early in life.
Initially, I did not realize its importance. But planning one’s day’s schedule makes one regular and punctual. It decreases the workload. One becomes well-organized and free from tension.
Daily I get up at 5 a.m. I brush my teeth and answer nature’s call. Then I go out for a morning walk. I came back and took a bath; I prayed to God. I get dressed for school. I have my breakfast. At 7 O’clock I leave for my school. I come back home at two. I take a rest for some time and watch a TV program while I have my lunch. I take a rest for an hour.
At four I take tea and biscuits. I do my homework. After one and a half hours, I go out to play. I come back home at 6 O’clock. I help my mother in the kitchen, drink a glass of milk, and study for two hours. I finish the remaining homework well in time. I eat my dinner and listen to T.V. news. Then I read the newspaper for half an hour. We go out for an evening walk. Back home I again revise my lessons or prepare the next day’s lessons in advance. I pray to God, and wish my parents good night. I go to my room and keep my bag prepared and my uniform ready for the next day. Then I go to bed with a light heart as I believe in the saying: ‘Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’. But on Sundays, my daily routine is much different. No doubt, I get up at the usual time but I go out to play a cricket match or we go out for a picnic or I sit at home and read English novels or good storybooks.
During the examinations, I revise my lessons thoroughly leaving nothing to chance. I love reading books. Reading books and magazines is my favourite pastime. It is a profitable hobby too. On other days of the week, I strictly stick to my daily routine.
