Letter to the telephone department for restoring that connection.

May 22, 2003

To,

The Concerned Person,

Telephone Exchange,

Dwarika, New Delhi.

Sir,

This is to inform you that due to my absence for two months when I had to visit abroad with my family members for urgent work, I could not receive the telephone bill and hence was not able to deposit the bill on time, which led to my connection being disconnected. However, immediately after my return on May 19, 2003, I remitted the amount the very next day, May 20, 2003 around 12.30 p.m. I was made aware that my line would be restored within two days. More than 15 days have passed and inspite of my reminders to your engineers in the exchange, as on date my telephone remains disconnected, which has thrown my life out of gear. Being on exporter, I have to remain in touch with my buyers and this hassle of telephone had an adverse effect on my business, which has caused a lot of mental agony.

You are requested to look into the matter and take proper steps to restore my telephone connection, failing which I’ll have no alternative to report the matter to the G.M. of MTNL.

Your kind consideration in this regard is solicited.

Thanking You

Yours Sincerely,

Pratap Bansal
