Sub. : Reporting against your 21″ Vega, New Sony T.V. Set

Sir,

I had purchased the above-mentioned colour TV from your Ring Road, Lajpat Nagar, Showroom vide Bill No. 48376, dated 25th May, 2007. Within a week’s time the TV started giving trouble. As the picture is dull and the sound unclear, the charm of enjoying programmes on a new set of a renowned company like Sony has proved like an unfulfilled sweet dream.

I made a complaint and your engineer came to my residence. He went away after doing something, assuring that the trouble was over. But the problem has become a regular feature. The TV set, instead of being a source of entertainment, has become a source of trouble. When I asked the dealer to replace the set, as per the company rules, he didn’t agree and even misbehaved. May I request you to look into the matter, and keeping in mind the prestige of the company and also the interest of a common customer like me, give directions for the exchange of the defective set ? In case, nothing is done to honour the guarantee, I shall have no other option but to approach the Consumer

Court for justice. I’m sure you may not like my going to this extreme.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

Vipul Mittal
