Govt. Teachers Union (GTU) demands hike salary of Part time Lecurers.

A meeting on the major demands of Govt. Teachers Union (GTU)  held today at 3:30 pm in the office of Finance-cum-Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration Sh. Sarabjit Singh IAS, Education Secretary Chaired the meeting and from department Sh. K.K. Bhadoo, HCS, Director Public Instructions (S), Sh  Chanchal Singh Dy. Director School Education, Mrs Manju Shree and Mrs Vijay Laxmi Superintendent (E) I & II branch and from Govt. teachers Union (GTU) Dr. Vinod Sharma( President ), Sh Sanjeev Kumar (General Secretary, Sh Dharminder (Press Secretary),  Sh. Sushil Kumar (Joint Secretary) and Mr. Amrik Singh (Cashier) were present in the meeting .

The agenda of meeting was major demands of Govt. Schools teachers which were discussed in detail one by one . The secretary Education was almost agree with the pointed demands during meeting and decided  : The notional pay of UT Cadre teachers will be fixed in the light of Pb. Govt. circular21-12-92 and April 2011. The salary of Part time Lecurers will increased upto Rs. 25000 by increasing their work load and the present part time lecturer willnot be called for  interview like past practice.The secretary also agreed to give regular pay scale to Principals and Headmasters/Headmistresses from the date of officiating period and administrative experience in case of Headmaster  for  higher post decided three years instead of seven years. Clearance of ACP cases of school Heads and Teachers , Regularisation of Teachers working under Sarva shiksha Abhiyan Society , Grant of central pay scale to work experience  cadre, posting of disabled persons in group A and B posts were also highlighted by the delegation and the secretary directed the DPI(s) and other officials of directorate to implement all discussed issues at the earliest.

The GTU expressed thanks to the secretary for promoting about 200 JBT and other teacher as Masters/Mistresses and also demanded their posting without further delay for which the DPI (s) informed the posting will be done very soon.

The delegation expressed satisfaction over the meeting and hoped the issues of teachers will be taken up on priority in future also
