JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE OF UT TEACHERS, CHANDIGARH

Chandigarh : dated 29-11-2014 : A General House meeting of all cadre teachers of UT, Chandigarh under the banner of joint Action Committee(JAC) of teachers held in Masjid Ground, Sector 20, Chandigarh. Around 800 Teachers of various cadres participated in the meeting and Joint Action Committee (JAC) also expanded it’s executive committee members by merging leaders of various teacher/ministerial staff unions. The following issues/welfare schemes of teaching community of Chandigarh were discussed.

DEMAND CHARTER WITH ACTION PLAN AND ACTION TAKEN

1. Equal pay for equal work for guest faculty teachers ——- process completed
2. Promotion of JBT Teachers – 108 teachers Promoted , Others going to be Promoted
3. Promotion of TGT’s to Lecturers – Process started
4. Promotion of all Cadre on yearly basis – Accepted
5. Enhancement of salary of vocational Lecturer – Accepted and under process
6. Regularisation of Contract/ Guest faculty /ÇRC’s and SSA teachers – under Process

Regarding SSA – at positive stage in MHRD/ Finance Department. Leaders of Joint Action Committee going to Delhi on 1^st to 3^rd December for Final Completion of regularisation Process in case of  SSA

7. Equal Pay for Equal work to computer teachers and merger in main stream – under Process
8. Job Security for STT and volunteers working in STC’s with enhancement of Salary
9. Filling up of Administrative Posts in DPI (s) office approved by MHRD and filling of post of  Registrar  which will result in decentralization of powers for streamlining the working of DPI (s) office. Which will also help to clear the pending issues/ work  of teachers .
10. Blood Donation Camp is being organised in the month of January 2015.Date will be finalised and teachers will be apprised accordingly.
11. Work on the process of “Teachers house building society” on no profit no loss basis will be started soon and officers of Education Department have already been consulted on the issue and positive response has been received from the worthy officers.
12. Seniority list of all cadres be upgraded and Posts of vice Principals be created/Filled with all benefits/Powers as per the school’s strength.
