Joint Action Committee(JAC) of teachers Chandigarh raises pending issues/welfare schemes of teaching community .

A General House meeting of all cadre teachers of UT, Chandigarh under the banner of Joint Action Committee(JAC) of teachers U.T. Chandigarh held in Masjid Ground, Sector 20, Chandigarh. Around 100 Teachers of various cadres participated in the meeting and Joint Action Committee (JAC) also expanded it’s executive committee members by merging leaders of various teacher/ministerial staff unions under SSA/Contract/Guest/STC/Vocational. In Joint statement JAC Leaders including Bhag Singh Kairon, Savinder Singh , Ranbir Singh Rana , Khushali Ram Sharma , Shamsher, Mrs. Jupinder Kaur, Ravinder Sharma etc. has decided in the meeting to consider the following pending issues/welfare schemes of teaching community of Chandigarh with the higher authority at the earliest:-

  1. Promotion of remaing JBT teachers
  2. Filling up of vacant posts of lecturers on promotion /regular basis
  3. Promotion of all Cadre on yearly basis
  4. Enhancement of salary of vocational Lecturers
  5. Regularisation of Contract/ Guest faculty /ÇRC’s and SSA teachers
  6. Equal Pay for Equal work to computer teachers
  7. Job Security for STT and volunteers working in STC’s with enhancement of Sal
  8. Blood Donation Camp is being organised in the month of January 2015.Date will be finalised and teachers will be apprised accordingly.
  9. Work on the process of “Teachers house building society” on no profit no loss basis will be started soon and officers of Education Department have already been consulted on the issue and positive response has been received from the worthy officers.
  10. Seniority list of all cadres be upgraded and Posts of vice Principals be created/Filled with all benefits/Powers as per the school’s strength.
