Andaman Sea
Andaman Sea is one part of the Indian Ocean. It is situated in south-east of Bay of Bengal, in south of Myanmar, in west of Thailand and in east of Andaman Islands. Andaman Sea is the major route of transport for the coastal regions. Here fishing is done in large quantity and the coral rocks of Andaman Sea are the centre of attraction for tourists. The total area of the Andaman Sea is 7,97,700 square kilometer, with an average depth of 870 meter, having Andaman Nicobar Island its deepest point with a depth of 3,777 meter. Towards its southern east, Andaman Sea has got narrowed and it’s the narrow part is known as Melaka water body.
