Essay on – A Pleasant Dream

Last Sunday I slept late. Soon I fell fast asleep. I started dreaming. I saw a blaze coming near. Then suddenly it took the form of God. I bowed before Him. He asked me to ask for any wish. I hated weapons of destruction. So, I wished whatever I wished should be fulfilled. I was granted the wish. The God disappeared.

First of all, I wished that all the destructive explosives and devices to be brought before me from all over the world. As soon as I wished so I saw before me all kinds of bombs, missiles, and innumerable weapons of different shapes and sizes. Next, I wished those destructive weapons to be de-fused and carried away to a far-off planet. It was done.

I thought and thought. I wished that the men of science would forget forever how those destructive bombs and such other things of warfare were mad. This wish too was fulfilled.

My next thoughts were of making the world a place worth living, in harmony and peace and there should be no trace of poverty and scarcity. I wished each and everyone to be happy and healthy. I also wished that there should be no disease on the earth. It too was granted. Just then I woke with a jerk. My pleasant dream was shattered. My mother was asking me if I would like to go to school. It was six in the morning. I felt very depressed knowing that it was all a dream, how I wish my dream come true!
