10 Lines – A Visit to A Historical Building

1. The Taj Mahal is the eighth wonder of the world. It is one of the best historical buildings ever built by the Mughal emperors.
2. It is in Agra. Last week I visited it. I stayed in Agra for three days with my uncle and aunt.
3. They live there I visited the Taj with them. What a beautiful building! It transported me to another world.
4. Its beauty and charm can’t be expressed in words. That is why people from all over the world come to see it.
5. It is enclosed by red sandstone. At the entrance one sees a waterway. The approach to the Taj lies along with waterway.
6. There are four minarets in four corners of the platform.
7. The tomb is built in the central hall of the building. Graves of Mumthaz and Shah-Jahan lie below the tomb.
8. There are marble screens around the false graves. The real graves on the graves one can see going down steps.
9. Verses in the Quran are inscribed on the graves. They present a wonderful sight.
10. It is said the Taj presents a spectacular sight on the night of a full moon.
11. It is rightly called the ‘Dream in Marble’. The Taj has left an indelible impression of great wonder on my mind.
