10 Lines on “The Wise King” Story
1. Far away, in a beautiful land, there lived a King.
2. He was very unhappy because the people in his kingdom were very lazy.
3. They did not believe in working. They spent their entire time sleeping and talking.
4. The King decided to teach them a lesson. He got a huge stone placed in the middle of a road.
5. It was one of the main roads in the kingdom.
6. Many people passed by but they were just too lazy to remove the stone from their path.
7. All they did was cursed the government and circling the stone, went about their business.
8. This carried on for one week. On the eighth day, the King called a meeting of his people and after they had all assembled, he himself lifted the stone from the road.
9. He asked the people to see what was under it. There was an iron box, full of gold and silver coins. It was marked, “For the person who removes this stone.”
10. All the people present there hung their heads in shame.
