1. A museum is a place where objects of the olden days are kept for public display.
2. Last week I visited one such museum.
3. It had a collection of historical items such as swords, clothes, guns, jewellery, items of daily use, statues, clocks, paintings, musical instruments a few written papers of important emperors.
4. The guide told me about the use and importance of the items displayed there.
5. There were placed small placards at the foot of each item which told us about the items.
6. This information added to my knowledge of ancient history and development of mankind.
7. Thus, museums play a significant role in keeping our heritage alive for all times to come.
