My Dear Kamal,

It was really gratifying that you have stood first in your class and your progress report shows that your teachers are happy on your academic progress. But, Kamal, it is not the be all and end all of all this. You are over-exerting yourself in your studies and ignoring the most important part of your personality development, viz. sports and games. It is said, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”You are due to be proud of your performance but that is only one side of the coin. You have grown lanky and pale. Boys at this age are bubbling with youth and energy. I don’t want you to be a body builder but you know, Health is the real wealth. So, please mind you, take care of yourself. Don’t be a book-worm. Devote enough time to sports. Go for a regular morning walk and enough of exercise. Inhale and exhale your breaths in the lap of nature. Try to be in the company of nature, birds, ‘flowers and green grass, not much of books.

All good things are enjoyed only by a healthy person. So start a regular schedule of exercising and sports. With love.

Your loving sister,

Neha
