Microwave Ovens
Various types of ovens are used for a variety of purposes but the latest addition to household appliances is the Microwave oven. Unlike gas and electric ovens, which cook or heat food by increasing the temperature, the Microwave ovens generate electromagnetic waves with the help of a magnetron tube. These waves agitate food molecules by inverting them, this disturbance results in friction thus causing the food to heat up evenly all over. Microwaves can be dangerous to human beings if they are constantly exposed to them but most microwave ovens have walls which are insulated to prevent the electromagnetic waves from escaping. As we open the outer hatch there is a small circular plate on which the food is placed, once the door is closed the oven is activated from the control console outside and cooking is initiated, most ovens have a timer mechanism which allows the cooking time to be regulated automatically.
