Karate, Judo & Boxing

All these three are some of the most aggressive forms of sport. Karate is an unarmed form of combat which originated in Asia in the 17th century. In the early 20th century it first became popular in Japan and then spread to the rest of the world. Training in Karate is very hard and regular exercise is done to strengthen and harden different parts of the body. Karate fighters concentrate their energy into the blows they deliver with their hands, feet, elbows or fists. The fighter’s skills are displayed by the colour of the belt he wears. Master Karate fighters wear black belts and their students wear belts of different colours like brown, yellow, green etc. Judo is a form of wrestling based upon the Jujitsu technique. Judo originated in late 19th century. In this sport two opponents wrestle with each other by holding on to each other’s jackets and points are scored by each during the wrestle. One of the oldest and most popular forms of sport fighting is Boxing. It started with the ancient Romans and Greeks and by the 18th century a style of bare knuckle and savage fighting was popular. Subsequently by the 19th century the players began to use padded gloves. A bout of boxing is fought in a square arena called the Boxing Ring. Both fighters try to knock down the opponent. A fallen fighter has to resume fighting within a count of ten or he loses.
