Aeroplane

Man always had a fascination to be able to do the things he was not physically capable of doing and some how or the other he always found a way of doing it. Though never meant to but man had always wanted to fly. Lot of attempts were made unsuccessfully till the year 1890 when a German engineer called Otto Lilienthal developed, what we know today as, a hang glider and was able to fly a short distance. This was the first flight by man. Developments continued and the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur made the first power controlled flight on 17th December in 1903. There was no stopping development after this and the next step was achieved on 14th October 1947 when an American pilot Chuck Yeager flew faster than sound in a rocket powered craft. Today we have large passenger aircraft and can also successfully fly into space.
