This is to draw your attention towards the headlines of your daily, of which I am an avid reader. It seems that of late your newspaper has started giving more space to criminal activities by adding spice to your newspaper and thereby boosting the sale. This has caused a great amount of discomfort to readers like me, who believe that your daily gives more concrete information, rather than glorifying crime. It is very important to uphold journalistic principles and such news are deterrent to it. Criminals also enjoy such “phookat” – publicity which instead of transforming them to social pariah, actually makes them national heroes, which incites the teenagers to take to crime and then see themselves behind the bars. Every newspaper has social commitment to build up a strong society, which is the foundation, of a strong country. Readers like me, who are loyal to your daily, would like to see the format of your esteemed daily changing in order to cater to the needs of the real readers. And I am sure if you stick to your basic principles, you will definitely see the circulation of your newspaper going up.
