I am extremely pained to see the falling standards in the matter of advertisements being put up by the business community, especially the cosmetic companies on the television every day. In order to befool people into buying their products, they do not hesitate in presenting a vulgar display of pornographic material on the television screen. Sometimes, it becomes very embarrassing to view these ads on the television screen in the presence of to the member s of the family. Such advertisements have misleading effect on the young and impressionable minds of the youth who are easily led astray. There appears to be a race for vulgar display of nudity in most of these advertisements.

            I suggest there should be a Censor Board set up by the government. The Board should see the advertisements and permit them to be displayed only if these do not cross the normal limits of social morality.
