Letter lodging a complaint to Railway Police.

July 26, 2003

To,

The Railway Inspector,

Agra (U.P.)

Sir,

This is to inform you that on July 25, 2003, I boarded the train at Indore for Delhi, namely Inter-city Express coach No. S-7, the lower berth No. 22. I was carrying a briefcase and a suitcase. Both of them were locked to the berth, but when I got up around 2:00 a.m. to go to the toilet, I found my briefcase missing. The train had already left Kota at 12.30 a.m. As a matter of fact, I found that the gentlemen who were occupying the opposite berth No. 25 and 26 respectively, were also missing. My briefcase contained a lot of valuable documents besides cash amounting to Rs.13,000 (Thirteen thousand only). Among documents, I had two credit cards of Citibank and State Bank of India, besides my Identity Card. According to me, the miscreants must have got off at stations between Kota and Agra, hence the complaint. My ticket is also enclosed herewith (xerox), for your co- operation.

Looking forward to an early action.

Thanking You

Yours Sincerely,

Omvir Chauhan
