Essay, Paragraph, Speech on “Waste not, Want not” Complete English Essay for Class 8, 9, 10, 12 Students.

Waste not, Want not

We depend entirely on Nature for our survival. Unlike plants, we humans, along with other animals, are incapable of producing food independently. We are, therefore, unable to replenish what we consume. As Nature’s wealth is limited in quantity, we may reach a stage when we shall have used up all that we need to survive. We may not have started feeling the pinch of scarcity yet, because much of Nature’s resources still remain to be exploited. But, if we do not control our needs, or stop wasting these resources, we shall, sooner than later, face the prospect of extinction. The key to continued survival, therefore, is to moderate our needs and minimize the wastage of resources. It is appropriate in this context to remember what Gandhi said. “There is enough in this world for everyone’s need but not for everyone’s greed.
