If I Were The Principal Of My School

Elegant building, costly furniture and equipment do not make a good school. Its goodness lies in its teachers and the principal is the first among peers. The principal is the captain of the ship. Reputation of a school largely depends on its principal. If I were the principal, I will do the following things.

One, I will introduce strict measures to end truancy and bunking of classes. One or two times truants would be fined. Offence for the third time will attract rustication from the school. Habitual late corners will have to do manual labour.

Two, school office will be made efficient. Harsh and discourteous staff members will be shown the out-door.

Three, I will introduce ‘no dress code’ on Saturdays but students will not be allowed to wear see-through or rag-looking clothes. No mobile will be allowed in the school. It will be applicable both to the staff and the students. School will provide telephone service to contact relatives if need be.

Eight, in the recess period the students will not be allowed to buy eatables from the vendors and thereby invite diseases. A doctor will he engaged for regular medical inspection.

Nine, students will be asked to play the role of the handicapped. This is to inculcate in them the feelings of sympathy and kindness.

The whole school would function like a family. My school will be an ideal institution, envy of all. In academics and in sports and extracurricular activities it will have no match for years to come.
