Aga Khan’s real name was Sir Sultan Mohammad Shah Aga. He is famous for being the Chief of the Ismail sect of Muslims in India and the world over. The Ismails had great faith in Aga Khan. This sect forms a sizable chunk of Muslims in India who are predominantly settled in Maharashtra.
The British Royal family and the public had great regard for Aga Khan, because he had extended all possible help to Britain during the two world wars. He was more a European than Indian because, apart from being educated in Europe he lived mostly in Britain or France.
Sir Aga Khan was among the richest persons in the world. He was once weighed in gold. Similarly, once he was weighed in all his jewels. He had lot of movable and immovable property in various parts of Europe.
Aga Khan had dozens of horses in his stable. Some of his horses were known as the bests bets, winning for him many races. His stable was a major part of his property.
